I have a lot of cookbooks, and I also have a rule. I HAVE to make at least one recipe from every cookbook I own, then I consider it money well spent.
There is no time limit, I don't have to buy a book and follow a recipe that very same day, it can take weeks, months, years, or a lifetime.
Often I make many of the recipes, sometimes I make none - the Ladurée cookbook is a good example of this, I'm intimidated by it and doubt that I could recreate the recipes in there. I had to buy it as it was so incredibly beautiful. One day I'll try a recipe or two out. Not yet.
So. This is my blog about food. I will share my attempts at new recipes, old recipes, recipes that I just can't ignore. I'll talk about the books I am reading - old and new - any magazine recipes I've found and tried, and throw in random food thoughts too.
Not quite 'Julie and Julia', but something vaguely along those lines. Taking a recipe book and sharing my attempts at recreating the recipes in it.
